2) Adding People to Your Business Manager
Adding people to your business can help you control who has access to certain things. Here's how:
- Go to the People tab.
- Click on Add a Person.
- Fill in the information about that person.
- Confirm their email address by clicking Send Verification Email. - If this is someone outside of your company, click Require them to have 2FA (2-factor authentication).
- Choose what permissions they have for each area. To see more options, click More Permissions. For example, if you want them to be able to see what you post on Facebook or Twitter but not edit it, select Social Media Access with Read permission only.
- Click Save at the bottom of the page when finished adding people to your company. - Go to the Gear icon on the top left corner and choose Settings from the drop down menu.
- Scroll down to Default Privacy Settings and make changes as desired. When done, scroll down to save settings.
- Ensure that notifications are set up as desired under Notifications in Settings.
3) Pages and Ad Accounts
One way is that business manager can help you organize your pages. For example, you might create a page for your business, but want to keep it separate from the page you use to promote personal stuff. If you're on Facebook, simply go to the Edit Page section in your Admin tab. Under General Settings, there's a setting labeled Page Name. Change the name of your personal page to something like John Smith Personal and then change the name of your business page to John Smith Company. This will ensure that coworkers can't see anything about John's personal life when they're looking at his company's Facebook Page. Another way is that it can help you manage ads for both pages. For example, if your boss has ordered a new product, you can create an ad campaign that only advertises that product instead of all products. To do this, go to Ads > Ad Sets and select Create New Ad Set. Then fill out all the information needed like how much money is being spent per day or week (depending on how long the ad campaign lasts), where people are located who will see the ad (if you want them to be from one country), and what type of product this ad is for (if there are multiple). Finally, click Save & Close.
4) Creating Custom Audiences
Meta Business Manager is a tool that helps you organize and manage your business. When you join Business Manager, coworkers can't view your personal information like they would on Facebook or Twitter. Instead, they'll see what you share in the workplace with them. This includes things like:
- documents you've shared with coworkers - documents they've shared with you - work tasks - work conversations - calendar events - private files
- announcements to the company
- messages to coworkers - discussions about general office topics - feedback about the product
- project requests In other words, anything that doesn't need to be confidential. To create an audience for people in your office, click Create Audience at the top of your dashboard then select Custom Audience. From there you can customize settings for these specific colleagues based on who they are and how much access they need. Finally click Create Audience again to confirm. You can even use our suggested settings as a starting point if needed.
